Some great results for our teams this weekend…
In the Under 12 league Cinderford Town and Abbeymead Eagles met and with both team having a 100% record for the season something had to give. What followed was a superb performance from Cinderford Town who went on to make it 8 wins from 8 games with a 7-1 victory. Goals from Brandon Donnelly x3, Finn Jones x2, Taylor Blaby and Josh Horrobin. Finn Jones also getting man of the match.
The Under 13s kept up their recent upturn in form with a 1-0 win over Northleach, the only goal of the game coming mid way through the second half when Gemma Barton won the ball on the half way line, beat the left back and fired the ball into the top corner from the edge of the box. Gemma Barton also picked up the player of the match award for the 3rd time in 4 weeks.
The Under 11 Colts kept up the great results with a 4-1 win against GVR Chalford on the STP pitches at Forest Academy. Jake Wassell opening the scoring after just 13 seconds before going on to complete his first hat trick for the club, Holly Brown also scoring her first goal of the season carrying on the glowing reputation that our girl players are establishing for themselves. Aaron Singleton getting man of the match.
Elsewhere there were great performances from the Under 10s vs GVR Chalford and the Under 8 Colts vs Wotton Rovers. Unfortunately the Under 8 game had to be abandoned midway through the game due to a booking error on the STP pitches in their game vs Lydney Town.
