Well done to all our teams this weekend…
The Under 15s unfortunately went down 4-1 to FC Lakeside in the Cheltenham league. (Goalscorer TBC)
Our Under 13s stayed in 5th in the Cheltenham league with a 1-0 win over Charlton Rovers Blues on the STP pitch at Forest Academy. Scott Jackson with an excellent strike from the edge of the box to open his account for the season, right back Sophie Wicks picking up player of the match.
The Under 12s rose to the top of the Gloucester league for the first time this season despite losing their 100% record. A 4-4 draw after a late Slimbridge equaliser enough to take the side above Longlevens. Goals from Finn Jones x2, Taylor Blaby and Josh Horrobin with goalkeeper Kyran Edwards getting man of the match.
The Under 11 Colts faced top of the table Ashelworth Woodpeckers at home and became the first team to beat them this season with an excellent 3-1 win despite going a goal down early in the game. Taylor Blaby grabbing a deserved equaliser before Jake Wassell and Aaron Singleton netted to secure the victory and move the Colts up to joint 2nd in the table. Defender Holly Brown getting player of the match.
The Under 10s travelled to GVR Chalford in the first round of the cup and produced an excellent team performance filled with plenty of high quality goals (including a lob from the halfway line). Stiker Liam Wilkins bagging 6 of the goals with Joel Morse (2), Jack Cook and Theo Crompton also getting on the scoresheet. Liam Wilkins also picking up the man of the match award.
Elsewhere there were some great performances from the Under 8 Colts and Under 9s as well.
